Audrey Tuemler

In memory of Alan Burnstine's and Laura Appelbaum's beloved cat Corners, who, at the beginning of her life many years ago, was a "graduate" of the Elmsford Animal Shelter.
Mickey (1992 - 2009)
He was an exciting indoor and outdoor cat, from sitting in our laps to chasing dogs and climbing trees to the top. His last three years, he only had three legs. His right rear leg was lost to cancer; however, within a couple of weeks he was back to his usual activities. He was inspiring. We loved him!

Marguerite & Peter Peyser
In memory of my Beloved Wolfman.
Gone too soon...God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart. Rest in peace, my Little Prince.

All My Love, Your Mommy

In loving memory of our Tiffany (Tiffy the Biffinator Tipa). Though we rescued her only two years ago when she was 10, it felt like we knew her much longer. She wasn't our pet, she was our family. She helped our daughter get over a fear of dogs. Tiffy loved car rides and the snow. We were told she was a Shepherd mix but a little Husky in her came through every winter! She is greatly missed.

Dave, Rebecca, Josh and Hannah
In memory of Shanna, a wonderful dog with a great personality. We're sorry we never found you the right home. Know that we loved you.

Staff of Elmsford Animal Shelter
In memory of Passion, our majestic king. Big, bold, and beloved by all. We'll miss you passionately.

Staff and volunteers of the Elmsford Shelter
Tristan (known to the staff at the Elmsford Animal Shelter for 7 years as Triscuit) shared my life from October, 2003 until May, 2009. He became the dog he was meant to be: gentle, elegant, and wise. In many ways, we rescued each other. Thank you, Tristan. And thanks to Dr. Slavin and everyone at North Westchester Veterinary Offices.
In memory of Danish. He brought me joy every single day and it made me happy just to look at him and hold him.

Meribeth Dulick
In loving memory of our beloved pet Kimba. I never thought I would get so attached to a dog but Kimba has bought us a lot of love and joy in our household. He was a part of our family and we will always love and remember him. I thank God for the time he was with us. God Bless You and we love you.

Tanya, Terence and Kristen
In memory of Misha - How we miss you our sweet baby girl. We found you at Elmsford almost 20 years ago. We walked by your cage and you stuck out your paw. Did we choose you or did you choose us? You fit in our hands. You brought us laughter, affection, and joy. You slept by my side and we could not have asked for more loyalty. You will be with us in our hearts and souls forever. Goodbye sweet friend.

The Schwartzbaum Family
In memory of Sophie - a wonderful dog we adopted over 11 years ago. A loving, protective, sweet, quiet, kind and gentle dog, our Sophie was a treasured member of the family. We really love you and miss you, girl.

The O'Rourkes
In memory of Beano - We thought the day would never ever come that we had to say good-bye to our beloved Beano. Rescued as a kitten from a shed in our yard he brought us so much joy, love, laughter, and was truly unique. He found his way back home after someone stole him from our front porch and used a lot of his 9-lives up - but always bounced back. Until the day came when his age caught up with him and both his kidneys shut down. There was no cure, treatment, or hope for recovery and to end his suffering we had to come to the decision to part with him. But he will always be remembered and there will never be another cat like him.

Margrit McManus
In memory of Megan - Happy dog, a cherished family member. She made returning home each day a homecoming extravaganza of smiling mug, wiggling rear end and thwacking tail.

Rob & Carla Chadwick
In memory of Scout - Scout was with us for 13-1/2 years and she will always be in our hearts.

Kristy and Chris
In memory of Zoe - About 12 or 13 years ago, there was a beautiful and sweet German shepherd mix by the name of Radar, which had since been changed to Zoe. Zoe had been my best friend, my guardian angel and my baby the second we saw each other. From the time we got her at 2 years old, she stayed by my side at each step I took until this past October. At the amazing age of 15, I had to make the hardest decision to put her to sleep. She is always in my mind and I miss her terribly. Thank you for my wonderful 13 years with a most beloved and beautiful companion.

Sarah
In memory of Jessie - Jessie came home on March 17th, 2002 at age 8 from the Elmsford Animal Shelter and quickly became our pride and joy! Once she learned to stop being afraid of people she didn't know, she turned into the most lovable and loving creature we could ever have asked for. We will miss her terribly but we know that she is in a much better place. Before she left us January 21, 2008, we promised her that "doggie heaven" included lots of Pupperoni and plenty of time to sit outside in the sun.

A donation was made by the Copeland family in memory of Claude. He was a wonderful kitty who brought a smile to the face of everyone who got to know him. He was infinitely patient with the grabby hands of our little boy and is missed every day. There is a space on our bed and a space in our hearts which will always belong to him.

Raphael, Tanya & Damon Copeland
In memory of KooKoo - As long as you were with us you were fighting a loosing battle for 3 months. Failed to grow despite all our efforts. Finally you just went over to the other side peacefully - you will be missed dearly.

Margrit
In memory of Dave - Thank you for the gift of Dave, who provided 12 years of unconditional love and companionship. He was the light of my life and is sadly missed. Thank you Elmsford for being a no-kill shelter.

Daniel Cranston
In loving memory of Chandler - remembered fondly by Ms. Toni Moretti and her mother, Mrs. Donna Moretti

Love forever, Toni and Donna
In loving memory of Sweetheart - taken from us so early in life by a tragic accident while playing with her siblings. We cannot comprehend why this sweet, adorable girl was taken away from us so very early in life. Seeing you in the wonderful green valley with flowers running and playing like you did in life but now on the other side like I once saw in a dream - you will never be forgotten.

Love forever, Margrit
In memory of Jake who was adopted from this shelter four years ago by Dan and Marianne and will truly be missed.

Your friends and coworkers at PsychoGenics

To my feisty & lovable Emma,
Who really did love treats, toys, & brushing, & who learned to trust after 10 years. I miss your growling at the garbage truck & leaving toys in my shoes. Our time together was too short & I miss you dearly.
